Open notepad as administrator
For anyone who got "Access Denied" while opening Hosts file or whatever that protected by the windows. try this
1. Hit Windows
2. Click All Programs
3. Click Accessories
4. "Right Click Notepad"
5. Select "Run As Administrator"
then you can select File > Open > and find the protected file that you desired.
ex : C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
