### **What is the Annual ABCD?**
The Annual ABCD is a year-long event designed to bring players together in a competitive yet enjoyable format. It runs alongside the Monthly ABCD but offers a unique structure and challenges. Here's how it works:

- **Format:**
Unlike the knockout-style Monthly ABCD, the Annual ABCD follows a **point standings table format**, ensuring all participants face each other over time. Matches will occur weekly, creating a consistent and engaging experience for everyone.

- **Match Setup:**
Each match consists of two rounds, with no tiebreakers. Scoring is as follows:
- Win both rounds: **3 points**
- One win and one loss: **1 point**
- No wins: **0 points**

- **Weekly Updates:**
Rankings and results will be updated every Wednesday after the weekly matches conclude.

### **How Many Players Can Join?**
We?re opening **14 spots** for this inaugural event. This allows for a balanced schedule of 13 opponents per player over the course of 52 weeks. Here?s how the spots will be allocated:

1. **Seven spots** are reserved for registrants with high-ranked benefactor statuses (Diamond, Ruby, Jade), who have been active doing daily for the past month.
2. **Two spots** (plus any unfilled from above) will go to Sapphire-ranked players who meet the same activity criteria.
3. The remaining spots will be offered to participants from the June Monthly ABCD event, with preference given to those who advanced further.

If more qualification is needed due to vacant spots, eligible players not yet selected will engage in a qualifying ABCD battle.

### **Key Rules and Guidelines**
To ensure fairness and smooth operation, we have established some important rules:

1. **Absenteeism:**
- Missing a match without an excuse results in **0 points** for that week.
- Two consecutive weeks of unexcused absenteeism during Q1 will result in immediate removal from the event. Replacement registration will open for 24 hours, prioritizing participants from the most recent Monthly ABCD event.

2. **Replacements:**
- During Q1 and Q2, replacement players will join with the same points as the lowest-ranking participant still in the event.
- No replacements will be allowed during Q3 and Q4. In such cases, matches against removed players can be completed with outside participants (results must be verified by a current player).

3. **Disqualification:**
Players removed from the Annual ABCD will be disqualified from participating in the next three Monthly ABCD events.
